with Rachel Daichendt as Philosopher

Saturday, July 23rd at 5pm
5pm-7pm

There is no one way to look at art. This becomes apparent when three distinct arts professionals walk you through the looking processes they use to analyze, interpret and judge artworks. Each lecturer will touch upon a variety of methods, theories and strategies that they use when thinking about contemporary art and how you can use them to deepen your understanding of the art world.

Works on Exhibit April 17 – May 12

“This exhibition presents seven artists exploring the vibrancy of life and natural surroundings through alternative media, metallic leaf, and singular color choices. These works resonate in bright and sometimes deceptively joyful tones and dynamic texturing, highlighting the slightly surreal reality of ordinary life. The intoxicating sense of dream-like ambiguity in the work by each of these North-County San Diego based artists is reflective of the universal journey to find a sense of balance and perspective despite ever changing physical and internal landscapes.”  – Katie Dolgov
